Bingle's Craft Jewelry

Bingle's Craft Jewelry

My name is Ge Jinglan, and I am a designer. I was born and raised in China, and in 2019, I came to Canada to study at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, where I obtained a Master's degree in Design. After settling into life in Canada, I stumbled upon the art of shrink plastic+resin by chance, and since then, I have developed a tremendous passion for this material, Because of its significant flexibility and freedom, this material allows me to transform my paintings into three-dimensional pieces, making them wearable art. I can also create sculptural forms by bending and layering them. The addition of resin in the final stages enhances the durability and translucency of each piece. Continuously exploring and experimenting with this material, I aim to discover new forms and combinations with other materials. With this passion, I founded my craft jewelry brand: Bingle’s Craft Jewelry in Nov.2023. My work covers a variety of themes. I incorporate patterns inspired by flowers, animals, and plants observed in daily life into my jewelry designs. Influenced by my Chinese cultural background, I have a deep enthusiasm for the artistic elements of traditional Chinese culture and continually draw inspiration from it to create jewelry.
