An antique sugar bowl with a grape motif provides the base for “Creme de Menthe”. Opaque, clear and pearlized green beads give this piece its creamy look. Antique silver plated soup spoons have been deconstructed and flattened to give “Creme de Menthe” its dulcet tones. Another Paris Olympics inspired windchime!
This windchime is crafted from a vintage napkin holder, antique soup spoons and a funky mix of opaque, solid and clear beads in green grape tones. The metal elements have been deconstructed and the flattened spoon bowls give “Planet of the Grapes” and happy jingling sound.

Antique silver plated knife handles“Forget Me Not” is a whimsical windchime. I don’t know the origin of the metal flower but it is very lightweight so this piece moves a lot in the wind. I added contemporary blue and clear beads including tiny flowers reminiscent of forget-me-nots. Deconstructed antique silver spoon handles and bowls make this chime sing.
“A Stitch In Time” has vintage wooden spools, metal bobbins and antique thimbles. This is a quiet piece with tiny bells in the thimbles. Wooden beads complement the wooden spools and the vintage knitting needle atop. One of the bobbins has the same aqua green thread the same colour as the beads and buttons!
“Wavy Gravy” is a repurposed antique silver plated gravy ladle with amber toned glass beads. Its’ melodious chime comes from five deconstructed silver plated vintage spoon bowls that I hammered flat.
A vintage silver-plated gravy boat overflows with cobalt and clear beads. I deconstructed five antique silver plated spoons to create the chimes. The beads beveled edges make “Overflow” twinkle and the spoon bowls make it tinkle.
“Forquoise” is composed of five silver-plated vintage forks and a napkin holder that I deconstructed. Silver and turquoise coloured beads tie it all together. The fork tines make a tingle that quietly reverberates!
Verdigris lantern with abalone shells has a beach vibe.. Turquoise, bronze, opaque white and pearly toned beads complement the mother of pearl sheen of the abalone. Five antique silver plated spoons have been deconstructed and hammered into “clappers’ to make this lantern chime.
Antique silver cake server with glass beads in pink tones. The antique silver cutlery that makes this chime is four dessert forks and a deconstructed spoon handle, which makes it a la mode!
This vintage silver-plated baby mug has an embossed duckling on it. Three vintage silver-plated baby spoons hang from glass and metal beads, including ducklings! The middle spoon is from Gerber’s, the baby food company, in the 1950’s. Makes a great baby or shower gift!
An antique crystal doorknob set and door plate with 5 old skeleton keys and teal beads. I wanted “Passagem” to evoke an air of mystery, of a secret passageway or clandestine meeting.
