A vintage napkin holder and antique soup spoons were deconstructed to create this piece. They are suspended by strands of opaque and clear beads in rich wine tones. Five flattened spoon bowls make a sonorous clang.
This windchime is crafted from a vintage napkin holder, antique soup spoons and a funky mix of opaque, solid and clear beads in green grape tones. The metal elements have been deconstructed and the flattened spoon bowls give “Planet of the Grapes” and happy jingling sound.
“Tulipa” is a stained glass lantern upcycled into a windchime. The chimes are the handles of antique silver knives I deconstructed. Glass beads in pinks, green and black mirror the colours in the tulip.

Antique silver plated knife handles“Forget Me Not” is a whimsical windchime. I don’t know the origin of the metal flower but it is very lightweight so this piece moves a lot in the wind. I added contemporary blue and clear beads including tiny flowers reminiscent of forget-me-nots. Deconstructed antique silver spoon handles and bowls make this chime sing.
“A Stitch In Time” has vintage wooden spools, metal bobbins and antique thimbles. This is a quiet piece with tiny bells in the thimbles. Wooden beads complement the wooden spools and the vintage knitting needle atop. One of the bobbins has the same aqua green thread the same colour as the beads and buttons!
“Hot Spots” sparkles with turquoise coloured and clear beads. Souvenir spoons from hot spots in Hawaii and Australia hang from driftwood and make a tinkling sound.
“Wavy Gravy” is a repurposed antique silver plated gravy ladle with amber toned glass beads. Its’ melodious chime comes from five deconstructed silver plated vintage spoon bowls that I hammered flat.
A vintage silver-plated gravy boat overflows with cobalt and clear beads. I deconstructed five antique silver plated spoons to create the chimes. The beads beveled edges make “Overflow” twinkle and the spoon bowls make it tinkle.
“Forquoise” is composed of five silver-plated vintage forks and a napkin holder that I deconstructed. Silver and turquoise coloured beads tie it all together. The fork tines make a tingle that quietly reverberates!
Verdigris lantern with abalone shells has a beach vibe.. Turquoise, bronze, opaque white and pearly toned beads complement the mother of pearl sheen of the abalone. Five antique silver plated spoons have been deconstructed and hammered into “clappers’ to make this lantern chime.
Vintage ice cream scooper with beads in all the bubble gum flavours! Pink, purple and blue beads hold the five vintage silver plated spoons that make “Scoop” chime. One scoop even has sprinkles.
